2011 Collection: Introducing Athena!

Photos:Carrie Wildes

The name on this wedding gown is inspired by heritage:)

Athena is a gorgeous more casual beach wedding style gown, or can be worn as a reception dress.

The short-long look and the draped straps make it look super romantic and sexy!

I wanted to give the bride the opportunity to be comfortable and look sexy at the same time.

This wedding gown can be paired up with strappy metallic heels or just flip flops.

Athena is made with 13 yards of crinkled silk chiffon and 6 yards of silk lining.

2011 collections: Introducing Rebecca

photos by Carrie Wildes

Rebecca has been the favorite wedding gown for our new collection so far. Rebecca is for the free spirited bride that wants to feel comfortable but look glamorous on her wedding day.

We use seventeen yards of silk chiffon and silk lining to construct the gown.

The bodice is gathered and form fitting and with a "car wash" effect skirt.

For the finishing touches we added a silk belt that can be any color and a feathered brooch with AB swarovski crystals.

Rebecca has been described as an Oscar night gown by our brides.

Gown Preservation!

We always get the same question from our brides.
What do I do with my gown after the wedding??
If you don't have plans to do a fun trash the dress photo shoot, then I suggest to preserve it.

It can be very confusing with all the choices out there but it is very important to have your heirloom preserved by a professional.
The wedding gown should be inspected, dry cleaned, and pressed before being placed into the preservation chest and sealed.
Because the fabrics tend to get more delicate with time, a question your should ask is if their process is truly GREEN and all the solutions used are non toxic.

Usually the bridal boutique that you purchase your gown will offer gown preservation.

For more information on preserving your gown feel free to contact us.

2011 Collections: Introducing Pavlina

photos by Carrie Wildes

We are so happy to have launched all our new collections.
Everyone always asks how is a wedding dress made, how long does it take, how much material and list goes on and on.
For that reason we decided to introduce each gown and what it takes to make it.

So we begin with Pavlina:
It was inspired by my wedding gown.
Pavlina is an Alencon Lace Sheath style gown.
The body of the gown is made in an empire sweet heart neckline with french seams.
It requires 10 yards of silk duchess satin since we line it in and out and 3 yards of French Alencon lace.

Pavlina takes about 20 hours to complete. Including pattern making cutting and putting together.
This gown represents the eternal classic wedding dress with a sexy twist.
