A Vintage Gown Transformation!

We are so excited to share this beautiful experience with one of our gorgeous brides.

When Jenny first called and told me that she wanted to wear her mom's wedding gown I was a little sceptical!

She told me that she wanted to wear her mother's vintage gown but wanted to redesign it.

So that's how it all started.

When Jenny came in with the gown I was amazed at the great condition it was in although it was never preserved.

The gown had a lace bodice with a high neck and long sleeves with lace and chiffon.

Jenny described want she wanted and we got to work.

We updated the gowns look by creating a v-neck line and removing the lining behind the lace to create a sheer more updated look. Also we removed the sleeves as the wedding was in May and the gown was originally was worn in the winter by Jenny's mom. Also the chiffon skirt had gathers all around and Jenny preferred an A-line look.

In addition we created a gorgeous gold tone sash to tie in some of Jenny's wedding colors and fit her Vintage themed wedding!

Jenny and her family was a pleasure to work with!

Here are some behind the scene photos while working on transforming the gown.
