1950s Iconic Elegance

The 1950's America had multiple famous iconic Weddings! The Cinderella bridal gown was reborn. Wedding dresses became bigger and more elaborate than ever. Waistlines were tiny, leading into billowing skirts.

In 1956, Grace Kelly married the Prince Rainier of Monaco. Grace Kelly wore an exquisite ivory peak de some and satin wedding gown embellished with yards of antique rose point Brussels lace. The gown was designed by Helen Rose of MGM Studios and featured a ten-foot train, a molded bodice, a tiny waist, and the elaborate styling that was so popular at the time.

In 1954, Audry Hepburn was married in this slim-waisted, billowing skirt cocktail-length wedding dress.

At Anglo Couture, we have the Cinderella look with Anglo Couture's Georgina Wedding Gown. This gown is made using the finest material, Silk Duchesse, and embellished with a black sash that has a couture flower on the sash.
