The correct measurements!!!

Everyone asks me why is it so important to take the correct measurements and what's so hard about taking correct measurements.

The correct measurements ensure the correct selection of the size for your wedding gown or any other garment.

Usually the measurements required are: Bust, waist and hip.

At Anglo Couture we ensure that precision measurements are taken to ensure a flawless fit. However when your measurements are taken, you are still just selecting a size from the existing size chart and alterations will be needed. If you would like a custom pattern to be made for you, then there are many more measurements that need to be taken in addition to the three standard ones. For me fit is the most important thing. If it doesn't fit right, it doesn't look right.

Even thought we offer custom patterns, we include fittings with our most experience seamstress to ensure that the fit is flawless.

In many occasions measurements are needed for ordering bridesmaids dresses and other garments. You should have a professional take your measurements instead of trying to do it yourselves. Many shops offer that service for a small fee. Keep in mind that taking your own measurements is very difficult and most of the time inaccurate which results to incorrect size selection and multiple alteration to fit the garment.
